PERVERSITY - BIOGRAPHY
/DEATH METAL BAND FROM SLOVAKIA/
The band was founded in October 1995 by Martin Marincak (vocals) and Jozef “Dodi“ Kosc (guitar). The first two demos (The Embarrassed – 1997, Personal – 1999) opened the band the door to the underground scene. After some personal changes, in January 2001, the new line-up was formed: Martin (vocals), Dodi (guitar), Marek Stasak (drums), Dano Kochanik (guitar) and Martin Kukol (bass). These five guys managed to record two albums.
At the beginning of 2003 the debut album “In The Garment Of Lust” was released by the French label Perennial Quest Records.The material contains 8 new songs and 1 song “Disillusioned” (re-recorded) from the first demo. It is a brutal death metal stuff and it helped Perversity to get to the world UG. In November 2004 the second album “Words Like Poison” was released by the Slovak label Forensick Music.The CD contains 33 minutes of brutal technical death metal.
The new vocalist Juraj “Kazatel“ Handzus joined the band in September 2003. Since May 2004 the band has had a new drummer Martin “Mystik“ Horgos and the era of unholy death metal has started. The band has managed to support “gods” Suffocation and Vital Remains.The new guitarist Robert Vanya joined the band in July 2005. The line-up working on the next album was: Jozef Kosc-guitar, Martin Kukol-bass, Juraj Handzus-vocals, Martin Horgos-drums and Robert Vanya-guitar. Meanwhile the CDr “Demos & Rarities Collection“ was created /April 2006/. It contains remastered demos and a couple of live tracks.
The third album “Beyond The Reach Of Heaven” was recorded in February/March 2007.It contains 9 tracks, 35 minutes of pure death metal music with message from Immolation or Incantation.The CD was released by the Czech label Grodhaisn Production at the beginning of 2008.
In September 2007 the new bassis Slavomir “Sly“ Koval joined the band. In April 2009 the next personal change occured. Marian “Elvis“ Petrik became the new guitarist. He had been the vocalist in the Slovak death metal legend Insepultus in the years 2000-2002.
The current line-up is: Kazatel-vocals, Dodi-guitar and backing vocals, Elvis-guitar, Sly-bass and Mystik-drums. The 15th anniversary of the band was celebrated at the concert in Presov on September 25, 2010. At the end of March 2011 Perversity recorded their 4th album entitled “Ablaze“ in the studio Klakson in Slovakia. The hot news is the new Czech label Lavadome Productions. The date of release is the end of August 2011. Yeah!!!

Perversity vzniklo v októbri 1995 a založili ju Martin Marinčak /spev/ a Jozef „Dodi“ Košč /gitara/. Prvé 2 demá /The Embarrassed 1997 a Personal 1999/ pomohli kapele otvoriť dvere do undergroundu a dostať meno skupiny do povedomia fans.Toto obdobie bolo poznačené viacerými personálnymi obmenami, ale ani to nezabránilo aktívnej koncertnej činnosti.
V januári 2001 sa sformovala nová kreatívna zostava, kde Martina a Jozefa doplnili bicmen Marek Stašák , gitarista Dano Kochaník a onedlho aj basák Martin Kukoľ. Táto partia má na svedomí 2 oficiálne vydané CD.V roku 2003 vychádza debut In The Garment Of Lust u francúzskych Perennial Quest Records. Materiál obsahuje 8 nových brutálnych songov a nanovo nahratý bonus Disillusioned /otváracia skladba dema 97/. Toto CD je skutočne pekný nástup do svetovej deathmetalovej UG scény.
Koncom roka 2004 vydáva slovenský label Forensick Music druhé CD Words Like Poison. Môžete čakať 33 minút poctivého death metalu s odkazom na kapelky ako Dying Fetus, Suffocation či Incantation. Celkový sound nahrávky a technika skladieb je na oveľa lepšej úrovni ako debut. Taktiež sa zlepšila aj koncertná aktivita.
V máji 2004 prichádza do kapelky nový bubeník Martin Horgoš a spolu s novým vokalistom Jurajom Handzušom /od septembra 2003/ začína nová etapa pre Perversity. Pôvodný spevák Martin odchádza za prácou do Prahy, ale naďalej ostáva v kontakte.V júni 2005 nastupuje na post gitaristu Robert Vanya a začínajú sa pripravovať nové songy v duchu temnejšieho death metalu. Zostava je teda Juraj Handzuš /spev/, Jozef Košč /gitara/, Martin Kukoľ /basa/, Martin Horgoš /bicie/ a Robert Vanya /gitara/. Zatiaľ je vyplnený čas s CDr Demos&Rarities Collection – apríl 2006. Jedná sa o remastrované demáče a zopár živákov a nahrávok zo skúšobne. Veľkými zážitkami sú suporty pred Suffocation a Vital Remains.
Nový album Beyond The Reach Of Heaven je nahratý počas februára-marca 2007. Obsahuje 9 trackov v dĺžke 35 minút s odkazom na pure death metal Immolation či Incantation. Vydáva ho na začiatku roka 2008 český label Grodhaisn Production.
Od Septembra 2007 je novým basákom Slavomír “Sly“ Kovaľ. Jeho hudobná minulosť je spojená s kapelami 77, The People a Bleeding. V Apríli 2009 je ďalšou personálnou zmenou výmena gitaristu. Novicom je Marián “Elvis“ Petrík, ktorý bol okolo roku 2000-2002 vokalistom slovenskej deathovej legendy Insepultus. Aktuálna zostava Perversity je Kazateľ /spev/, Ďodi /gitara a pomocné vokály/, Elvis /gitara/, Sly /basa/ a Myštik /bicie/. Začína sa teda aj skladanie nového materiálu v unholy deathmetalovom znení. Na koncerte na domácej pôde v Prešove je 25.9.2010 symbolicky oslávené 15.výročie skupiny.
Koncom marca 2011 sa Perversity zatvárajú do štúdia Klakson, kde náhrávajú svoj štvrtý album. Jeho názov je Ablaze a horúcou novinkou je aj nový česky label Lavadome Productions. Dátum vydania novinky je určený na koniec augusta 2011.Yeah!!!
